Finding a Hair Style?

Im having trouble finding a hairstyle that suits me. I have thick curly dark brown hair that is almost impossible to do anything with. When it gets long its horribly curly and quite sure if i let it grow out i could turn it into a afro (not a very big fan of afros). I normally like to keep my hair short because it easier to manage and is straight when its short.

no actually curly hair is much more mangeable when it's long. the shorter the curl, the tighter it will be, so grow it out, and when u grow out ur hair it's impossible for u to get an afro cuz the heavier and more weighed down it is the more impossible it is for it to stick up. so grow it out!!!!!
