Haircut for unmanagable hair?

I am in serious need of a good haircut!

My hair used to be extremely curly all over, but after years of straightening, now it's straight at the top, a little wavy towards the middle, and curly at the ends. Right now my hair is one even length, long and frizzy, especially at the ends, and I can't do ANYTHING with it. My side bangs are wavy/straight and I would like to get regular bangs, would this work with my hair? Does anyone have any good haircut and hairstyle ideas for me?

Well, because of how u described your hair, you definitely need to take some length off. I doubt the straight hair at the top is from using an iron, it's because of the weight of your long hair. I have naturally curly/wavy hair and it always curls better, even after just a trim. The frizzies at the end are probably dead ends, sorry to say. I would keep the side bangs, i have them and they go with a curly or a straight style. Hope this helps.

i am your savior!!! the reason your hair is frizzy, is because you may be washing it with warm or hot water, this opens the cuticle of you hair which causes the frizziness! now what u need to do is switch to cold water of course then lots and lots of conditioner to soak into that hair and wallllahhhh!!!

It is kind of hard to figure out a hairstyle when you kind of have curly/wavy hair. I know that layers do not always work out for this kind of hair.

But what I can think of is just, get some layers put it, get a style that might work with your hair type. And give it a break form blow drying and ironing.

get it cut to about 4 inches below your shoulder

ask for "long layers"

it will eliminate poofiness.

and get some john firenda dream curls to reinvigorate your curls.

you know the one in your picture. having a side fringe. that works really well with unmanagable hair. i have the same problem and i got that hair cut. If you dont like the idea though you should just ask your hairdresser they will tell you what would suit your face shape and hair.
