What can I do with my hair color wise?

I have medium-long length dark brown virgin hair, but it's uber curly, like...REALLY curly. It's ringlet-y curly. My sister just got her hair two-toned and highlighted, and it looks awesome. I want to do something awesome with my hair but highlights never turn out/look right on me. The blondes turn out yellow and orange every time. Does anyone reccommend a hairstyle or color for me?

I have my license to do hair, I would suggest trying a semi-permanent hair color then you can try a whole lot of different colors to see what you like best. Then you don't have to worry, they will wash out in 6 to 8 weeks if you don't like them. I'd try something with a little red in it like auburn. As far as hairstyles go definetly layers, long.

if you have dark brown hair blondes highlights can look unnatural.

so try something closer to your color.

go with a light brown instead of blonde.

or try an auburn color.

or even put in black for lowlights.

highlights don't always work for curls because they get mixed in... maybe you should try to go with an all over color for your hair instead.

you should try putting some really dark brown low lights in it and then put some blonde high lights on top!

since your hair is dark it might take a longer amount of time to dye it blonde so just leave the dye on untill it gets to the color u want it!

Keep it the brown. Go to a salon and have it dyed a really bright color underneath. It looks really good.
