Is sarah hardings haircut not right for my type of hair?

I have thick,curly, naturally frizzy hair that can be tamed when its straightned. However when it gets even a little bit damp from the rain it kinks and curls easily. I want my haircut like sarah hardings where its short at the back and gets longer round the front, is this the wrong hairstyle for my type of hair? please help!
